I’m constantly trying to improve my writing. I think like a writer, but getting the words from brain to paper are always such a challenge. It’s an obsession for me to learn to state things in exactly the way they should be stated to get a point across. I’m a believer in writing to make abstract ideas and concepts clearer while also making them beautiful.
My writing usually reflects myself or what I care about. That doesn’t mean I write a paper for a rights movement. I write things that encompass, as said above, abstract concepts. It started as a way to get my thoughts down and understand them by organizing them. Where it’s ended up is that I realize my writing could be entertaining, and even beneficial, to others.
Because I focus so much on this, you’ll see a lot of posts about writing, a lot of essays (many having to do with the fiction I like) on here, and I lot in general about what I do and don’t in writing. Fanfiction and poetry is my default right now because I’m working back into writing full-length stories that I’m not too embarrassed to publish.
So, I write.
